Croom speaks out as search continues

STARKVILLE — Though Mississippi State had visible movement on its search to replace Sylvester Croom as its head football coach Monday, some comments from the former coach might’ve been the day’s most public significant development.
In an interview with Atlanta radio station WQXI-AM, Croom said he had made a decision prior to the end of the season to move offensive coordinator Woody McCorvey into “an administrative role” and that he would change the offense. Croom said a salary had been determined and “he had already signed a new contract.”
