Accused of trying to provoke a “turf war,” the head of Entergy Mississippi says he’s not trying to pit the state attorney general against the Public Service Commission as both investigate the utility’s fuel-purchase practices.
Entergy Mississippi President/CEO Haley Fisackerly says he still feels the three-person PSC should handle the matter, not Attorney General Jim Hood.
“I fully respect the members of the Mississippi Public Service Commission,” Fisackerly said in a news release.
Fisackerly’s statement comes on the heels of stinging criticism of him and Entergy from PSC Northern District Commissioner Brandon Presley.
Presley took exception to comments Fisackerly made to The Associated Press earlier this week that the PSC last week passed a resolution urging Entergy to turn over scores of documents to Hood “with no due process granted us.”
