Sixteen years ago, a long-time, successful coach made his final appearance at Neyland Stadium, mindful that his successor already had been identified.
Today, a long-time, successful coach will make his final appearance at Neyland Stadium, mindful that his successor already has been identified.
I guess what goes around comes around. In 1993, Phillip Fulmer was Tennessee’s coach-in-waiting while John Majors ended his UT tenure. Now Fulmer will coach the Vols for the last time while Lane and Layla Kiffin look for real estate in Knoxville.
