Ole Miss stifles State, allowing 37 total yards

OXFORD — The first time Mississippi State tried to throw on Friday afternoon, quarterback Tyson Lee let go of the football an instant before Ole Miss defensive end Kentrell Lockett crashed into him and drove him into the ground.
The hit knocked Lee a little woozy, and the junior rose slowly from the turf.
And right then and there, just four minutes into the first quarter, UM linebacker Ashlee Palmer knew this game was over.
“When Kentrell had the quarterback on the first play, we smelled blood,” Palmer said. “We saw him get up slow, so we just wanted to attack more.”
