Tigers triumph over Tide would help salvage year
AUBURN – The man who has engineered the longest Auburn winning streak in Iron Bowl history will try to weave his magic again Saturday, but this time with a losing record in what may be the Tigers’ last stand in 2008.
Tommy Tuberville will put his six-game winning streak against Alabama on the line in Bryant-Denny Stadium, and the Tigers will want to be competitive to win season-ending support from a university administration that has been largely quiet during Auburn’s difficult year.
