Rivalries matter even with little on the line

Throw out the record books. Please.

Alright, alright, so this year’s batch of end-of-the-year rivalry showdowns, well, stinks. At least it does on paper. There aren’t any end-of-the-universe, this-year’s-game-of-the-millennium epics that’ll stop the world from spinning for a few short hours, but that doesn’t mean these games won’t be important, especially to the fan bases … and that includes the Apple Cup between Washington and Washington State.
