STARKVILLE — Mark Keenum will face money challenges because of a struggling economy, increased alumni expectations and some faculty skepticism when he takes over as the leader of Mississippi State University in January.
But after he was announced Wednesday as the university’s 19th president, the MSU alumnus seemed unbothered.
“Everything I am and everything I will be is tied to the university,” he said.
During a series of on-campus interviews Wednesday, Keenum outlined specific goals that seem to contradict the problems he’s inheriting.
