Following years of quick turnovers in leadership, Mississippi State University supporters are hoping the state College Board has found someone who will stick around for a while.
The board on Wednesday unanimously selected MSU alumnus Mark Keenum as its preferred candidate to lead the university.
“We are confident Dr. Keenum’s background and expertise make him the perfect choice to lead Mississippi State University,” College Board member Scott Ross said.
Keenum will hold a series of interview sessions with campus constituents next week, and the College Board will decide whether he should be hired.
