Bulldogs look deep into roster for answers
Mississippi State coach Sylvester Croom has been scouring his roster for playmakers, guys who can spice up and spark an offense that ranks last in the SEC in touchdowns (16) and scoring average (16.5 ppg).
With injuries knocking out speedsters like tailback Robert Elliott, tight end Marcus Green and receiver O’Neal Wilder, it’s been tough for Croom to unearth players that can contribute without making mistakes left and right.
Arceto Clark and Arnil Stallworth might be his answer.
Stallworth has seen playing time this year, but he had his best game last week against Middle Tennessee State, catching a team-high four passes for 60 yards.
It was the junior running back’s first start of the season and fourth of his career.
On the game’s first play, he caught a 28-yard pass.
