No fraud found in examination of State Farm
“We couldn’t find any intent to delay somebody’s claim or underpay claims,” said Lee Harrell of the Mississippi Insurance Department, which ordered the independent exam. “We couldn’t substantiate those allegations.”
Policyholders, their attorneys and two former adjusters for State Farm had contended the company intentionally minimized wind damage to save money after the nation’s worst natural disaster.
