Voter fraud is making headlines nationwide.
Recently the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now or ACORN has come under fire for their voter registration practices. Several states including Nevada, Ohio, and Connecticut are investigating.
The Mississippi Secretary of Secretary of State’s office says the group is not facing any allegations locally. To limit voter fraud county circuit clerks use a special program called the Statewide Election Management System or SEMS.
Every new registration form is entered and it catches those already registered under a different address. “With the SEMS system, if I pull your name up and you are registered say in Rankin county it will tell me that,” said Hinds County Circuit Clerk Barbara Dunn.
