Court date set in Miss. AG’s suit against Entergy

The Mississippi Attorney General’s suit against Entergy Mississippi has been scheduled in Hinds County Chancery Court for October 27.

Attorney General Jim Hood is suing the company for refusing to turn over documents about its fuel purchases and fuel price adjustments. Hood has said he believes the company has overcharged ratepayers by purchasing fuel from its sister companies at inflated prices.

Entergy has maintained its practices are clear and that the Mississippi Public Service Commission is the proper overseeing body, not Hood’s office.

Opening arguments are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. in front of Judge Dewayne Thomas.
