Saints feel crush of 3 close losses
NEW ORLEANS — Recent history should have warned the New Orleans Saints that even after two blistering Reggie Bush punt returns for touchdowns Monday night, no games seemingly have been out an opponent’s reach.
The way the Saints had failed to finish off two of their last three opponents leading up to Monday night’s game against Minnesota should have been a not-so-friendly reminder how mistakes crush a team.
Saints coach Sean Payton said the team made enough blunders to fill three games in the Saints’ 30-27 loss to the Vikings on Monday. The Saints have lost their three games by a combined 10 points and all three results could have been reversed in the fourth quarter.
