This comedy of errors was no ESPN classic

ATLANTA – Mississippi State fans, be glad you couldn’t see this one. Unless you had ESPN GamePlan, in which case you probably shut it off at halftime in favor of some “Sanford and Son” reruns.

Actually, if not for the fact that this was happening to your team – well, being done by your team – you could’ve gotten more laughs out of MSU’s 38-7 loss to Georgia Tech.
When watching a collegiate football game, you’ll sometimes see one of those “I can’t believe that just happened” moments. There were many of those Saturday, and none of them were good for MSU:

– After Tech went up 7-0, MSU’s fourth snap of the game went awry, and the Yellow Jackets took over.

– On the ensuing drive, Tech scored on a touchdown pass despite quarterback Jaybo Shaw getting nailed as he released it. That was just bad luck.
