The Jackson City Council’s budget committee voted 4-0 today to approve the 2008-09 budget.
The annual spending plan now heads to the full council Friday at 11 a.m. for a vote.
Council members have spent about three weeks debating Mayor Frank Melton’s proposed budget. Melton said today he would support the changes the budget committee is proposing.
