Croom: AU’s Dunn won’t get ball

AUBURN — Mississippi State coach Sylvester Croom watched Robert Dunn on film earlier this week and made a firm decision.
Auburn’s punt-return ace won’t increase his numbers this week.
Dunn perplexed Louisiana-Monroe and Southern Miss earlier this season, consistently breaking away for long returns that seized momentum. He scored against ULM. A penalty negated a touchdown return last weekend.
Croom says he has an ideal solution for minimizing Dunn’s impact.
“It’s real simple: Don’t kick the ball to the guy, you know?” Croom told the Jackson (Miss.) Clarion-Ledger. “The guy’s dangerous. I make no secret about it — we don’t intend for him to touch the football.”
