Four men from Northeast Mississippi were inspired Tuesday night by America’s first serious female candidate for president.
And Pontotoc native Henderson Jones from Ridgeland said he’s been told that when Wednesday’s convention roll call gets under way in Denver, Sen. Hillary Clinton of New York will stop the process when it gets to her state’s turn and ask the convention to make it unanimous for presumptive nominee Sen. Barack Obama.
“It was a very moving speech,” said 25-year-old Will Stone from Ashland. “She really hit a lot of high points.”
He predicted her 20-minute remarks moved the party toward greater unity since her hard-fought contest with Obama.
