MSU notebook: QB Lee is standing tall

STARKVILLE, Miss. — Have you heard?
Mississippi State has this first-team junior college All-America, quarterback, some guy named Tyson Lee. He threw for 4,432 yards and 31 touchdowns the last two seasons at Itawamba (Miss.) Community College.
Where was this guy at State’s media day on Thursday? With those passing stats, he must be 6-4, 235, with a throwing arm the size of a tree trunk.
Several reporters are talking to this little dude, who’s about 5-11. Maybe he knows which one of these players is Tyson Lee.
Whoa! This guy is Tyson Lee.
“I’m been 5-11 for a while,” Lee said, “so you take what you have and you work with it the best you can.”
