Rigsbys request mediation

By: Magnolia Tribune - July 31, 2008

Their former employer’s lawsuit against them should be resolved through mediation, former insurance adjusters Cori and Kerri Rigsby propose in a motion filed today.

The Rigsbys asked Judge William Acker Jr. to send the case to mediation. Also today, Acker accepted the request of attorney Dickie Scruggs to pay a $65,098.24 civil contempt fine, which includes interest. Acker found Scruggs and the Rigsbys guilty of civil contempt, ordering them to pay the fine to the Rigsbys’ former employer, E.A. Renfroe. The money covers Renfroe’s legal costs, plus interest, for retrieving insurance records the Rigsbys took while adjusting claims for State Farm.
