`Innocent’ not a word typically used with Snake
Former Alabama All-America quarterback Ken Stabler insists he’s innocent – at least this time – of driving under the influence.
Do you believe him? Not do you want to believe him, but do you really believe him?
The man known affectionately as “Snake” to a multitude of college and pro football fans says he’s stepping away from his position as one of the voices of Crimson Tide football while he fights to clear his name.
Stabler insists he is innocent, and he “fully expects to be exonerated.” The problem is, being “exonerated” in a Robertsdale courthouse on this most recent DUI charge is a long way from attaching the word “innocent” to Stabler’s reputation.
