The college football season doesn’t begin for another two months. Coaches get the chance to make a case for their teams in a month or so at various media activities across the country.
But in the dead of summer, you can always count on one thing.
Football magazines.
They’re everywhere.
July might be the most nondescript month of the year in sports. NFL training camps have yet to open. The U.S. Open, the NBA Finals and the College World Series just wrapped up. Sure, Major League Baseball is in full swing, but the playoffs don’t begin until October. But college football magazines tell you that’s all about to change.
