Court-watchers were astonished when her motion was granted virtually by return email, not even sitting on the docket a half day.

Oxford attorney Tom Freeland expressed surprise to this reporter. “My motions sometimes take weeks to get sustained,” he said.

Reporter Alyssa Schnugg was barely scooped by Knispel; her paper, the Oxford Eagle, filed its motion a few hours later. It is still pending.
