Jackson Mayor Frank Melton arrived at the Salvation Army’s Center of Hope Wednesday night carrying an overnight bag.
He’s prepared for an overnight visit with homeless men and women taking part in a program to get them off the streets.
“This is not a show,” said Melton. “I’ve had 28 years of showbiz and I don’t need anymore of that.”
