College football: Nutt ‘re-energized’ in Oxford
First-year Ole Miss head football coach Houston Nutt should be getting used to standing ovations from the Rebel faithful.
He got one when he entered the Ford Center on the Ole Miss campus when he was introduced as the team’s new head coach just after the end of last season.

He got another one Tuesday night when he and strength and conditioning coach Don Decker arrived at the Jackson Country Club at 7:31 p.m. – about an hour-and-a-half after the fund raising event for the Jackson-Madison County Ole Miss Club scholarship fund started.

The coach attributed the late arrival to scheduling miscommunication when the coaches drove up to Jackson when they thought they were scheduled to fly.
