MISSISSIPPI STATE 19-28 (7-17)
This past weekend
Mississippi State dropped two of its three games at Auburn, including Sunday’s rubber match, 12-2. For the series, MSU batted just .202, and no player had more than three hits. Patience at the plate was also a problem, as the Tigers’ pitching staff recorded 28 strikeouts and an ERA of 2.33, compared to State’s 7.20.
A look ahead
The Bulldogs face Middle Tennessee State today and Wednesday in Winchester, Tenn., for a two-game set. First pitch both days is scheduled for 6 p.m.
