Some teams in college football are slowly getting the message. However, three years after the formal approval of a 12th regular-season game, most SEC schools continue to litter their non-conference schedules with garbage games.
Amazingly, the paying customers keep coming back for more.
Some argue that having to play an eight-game SEC schedule is brutal enough (plus the league title game) without having to deal with big-time non-conference opponents. True. But thank goodness a few schools in 2008 will give the fans something to see.
