Ole Miss LB Walker arrested, charged with DUI
Ole Miss linebacker Allen Walker was arrested early Saturday morning and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and disregarding a traffic device, Oxford police confirmed.
Walker, a 20-year-old sophomore, was one of the breakout performers during spring practices and earned a starting spot at outside linebacker under new coach Houston Nutt.
Nutt could not immediately be reached for comment on how the arrest might impact Walker’s status with the team.
Walker played sparingly last season under former coach Ed Orgeron, making 13 tackles in 11 games.
