SEC suspension could be ahead for Polk
Thanks to three ejections against Kentucky this past weekend in Lexington, MSU coach Ron Polk was around for just 10 of the Bulldogs’ 27 innings.
And he could miss a few more.
Monday, MSU athletics director Larry Templeton said Polk, who is retiring at the end of the season, could be suspended by the SEC for his unsportsman-like behavior.
The league office is reviewing the case, but with commissioner Mike Slive and other key conference personnel in San Antonio for the Final Four, a decision may not be made until Wednesday.
If the SEC doesn’t levy a suspension, Templeton could. However, he said he won’t make a ruling until he sees the reports that were filed with the league office.
