Former state Rep. Franks may run to lead Dems
Jamie Franks of Mooreville, an ex-state representative who has a law practice in Tupelo, told a Lee County Democratic Party convention this past weekend that he may run for the chairmanship.
The state party’s current chairman, former U.S. Rep. Wayne Dowdy of McComb, has said he will not run again for the post.
Franks said the party needs somebody young and energetic to lead the party.
