REDBLUE – Wicker and the Senate

By: Magnolia Tribune - January 1, 2008

Wicker and the Senate

There is a way to defeat Roger Wicker.

(1) Wicker takes his home base of NE Mississippi; therefore, the Democrats have to go to either SW Mississippi or the Gulf Coast to find a candidate who can bring a substantial percentage of regional votes to the electoral table.

(2) This will be a $5 million campaign (at least), so any Democratic candidate has to be able to write a personal check for at least half that (or the DSCC and other Democratic groups have to commit that kind of money at the outset).

(3) A significant amount of prayer is involved along the lines of: we need a Democratic presidential candidate other than Hillary Clinton.
