State Rep. John Reeves has done good service for his constituents for many long years, but it’s obvious the voters have decided it’s time for a change.
Reeves should respect the voters and graciously, courteously and promptly concede that the voters chose his opponent, Adrienne Wooten – not only once, but twice!
On Nov. 6, Wooten, a Democrat, won the House District 71 seat, beating the veteran Republican by 221 votes. Wooten was declared the winner, but Reeves challenged the decision, questioning more than 800 votes in four split precincts within the district, and the Hinds County Election Commission allowed the special election.
