Sen. Trent Lott is winding down his final days in office. He said Thursday he will officially submit his resignation to Vice-President Dick Cheney before the end of 2007.
Lott held his final satellite news conference with Mississippi television stations Thursday.
He said the last three decades in office have been “a wild ride”, but he’s still not sure what he’s going to do after his retirement.
