The Associated Press has compiled a list of stories that have been nominated for the top news of 2007 in the state.
They include U.S. Sen. Trent Lott and U.S. Rep. Chip Pickering announcing their retirements, the state elections, and the continuing recovery from Hurricane Katrina.
Normally, the ballot would be cast from inside the newsroom and sent to the AP. The ballots would be tabulated and stories would be written to reflect the state’s top stories of the year.
The Sun Herald wants to know what our readers think. Cast your votes at sunherald.com and we’ll tabulate the results and cast our ballot based on what you think the top story should be.
