Lt. Governor-elect Phil Bryant Announces his Transition Website
After being elected Mississippi’s next Lt. Governor, Phil Bryant has been eager to put together some of the brightest minds to help him move forward in this new administration. The Bryant Transition website will serve as the official place for information on key events, application for employment and other related information as it becomes available.
As of Monday, November 19th you can access www.bryanttransition.com and apply for a staff position in the Bryant administration or express your interest to attend and participate in an upcoming event called the State Policy Summit.
The State Policy Summit, slated for January 5, 2007, in Jackson, MS, will build on the “Accountability Agenda” that Phil Bryant proposed during his campaign. Lt. Governor-elect Bryant understands that bringing together interested participants to share their experience and knowledge while providing feedback on emerging issues will help him in developing a legislative agenda for the 2008 Regular Session of the Mississippi Legislature.
The State Policy Summit will consist of 7 Committees: Accountability, Economic Development, Education, Family and Marriage, Healthcare, Law Enforcement and Technology.
