Continuing Hurricane Katrina recovery efforts, expanding economic development, helping businesses find ways to provide affordable health care and reviewing the state’s tax system are among the priorities GOP Gov. Haley Barbour cited for his second term in office.

With 98 percent of the state’s precincts reporting, Barbour led Eaves 58 percent to 42 percent.
