State Farm is suing Mississippi Attorney General Jim Hood, according to court papers unsealed Friday by U.S. Magistrate Judge Michael Parker in Hattiesburg.
State Farm is suing Hood for allegedly violating an agreement to end a criminal investigation of the insurer’s handling of claims on the Gulf Coast after Hurricane Katrina.
Parker granted State Farm’s request to unseal the complaint, over Hood’s objections.
