The absurdity multiplies

But fortunately, with laser-like ability to recognize real danger, the House Homeland Security Committee zeroed in on impending disaster facing America and issued a advisory that all NASCAR-bound aides get a bunch of vaccines before going on their taxpayer-paid racetrack junket. These shots included hepatitis A, hepatitis B, tetanus, diphtheria, and influenza.

Can you imagine the media firestorm if such a memo had been issued regarding an event that was populated by a different demographic?

Rep. Thompson defended the action by saying that these immunizations are commonly recommended for people working in hospitals, holding centers, and similar locations.

How many hospitals in Mr. Thompson’s Congressional District Two have signs posted at the door recommending that visitors should get a bunch of shots before entering?

None that we know.
