The city of Jackson has until Friday to remedy a $3 million budget deficit some council members thought already was resolved.
That amount, which would balance the fiscal 2007 budget, most likely will have to come from the city’s $7.5 million reserve fund, but pulling money from that fund will negatively impact Jackson’s bond rating.
Council members learned about the shortage Monday afternoon during a budget hearing meeting.
