Partisan November strategies are becoming easier to predict

The candidates are making the November stretch strategies of their respective parties more apparent and easier to predict as Mississippians are now just over six weeks away from making their general election choices.

Democratic candidates are talking about grocery tax cuts, expanding public health care and why the state’s recovery from Hurricane Katrina hasn’t moved faster and been more comprehensive.

Republicans are talking about tort reform (and what they identify as the danger of losing it), not raising taxes to offset a grocery tax cut and economic development successes in which they say that the Hurricane Katrina recovery is not only a plus but a centerpiece.
