The campaign trail of Lieutenant Governor hopeful Phil Bryant wound through the Golden Triangle Friday, with a lunchtime stop at Fleet’s Eats on the western edge of Lowndes County.
The popular country kitchen, with seating throughout the rooms of the owner’s home, has an eclectic clientele, with devotees as diverse as judges, nurses and construction workers.
It’s also a popular pow-wow point for SeverCorr officials both foreign and domestic to do business while they eat. The steel factory’s and restaurant’s front doors are only a few miles apart, though Bryant swore the visit to Fleet’s was purely based on appetite.
