Ward 2 City Councilman Leslie Burl McLemore says he will spend his fourth term as council president working to strengthen Jackson’s economy.
McLemore was elected on a 4-3 vote Tuesday to take the reins from former Vice President Frank Bluntson, who had held the council presidency since Ben Allen resigned in June.
Ward 5 Councilman Charles Tillman was elected vice president on a 4-3 vote.
