In a column two weeks ago, I wrote that the Mississippi Democratic Party did not know about the lawsuit filed last year on their behalf by Cleveland attorney Ellis Turnage. That was incorrect. Some officials did know. Some wish they had known more, however.
Minutes show Turnage got a favorable nod when 43 of the 80 state Democratic Executive Committee members attended a meeting in Jackson on Jan. 14, 2006.
