State Sen. Terry Burton of Newton is worried about losing some of his supporters on election day.
The Republican believes he’s a strong candidate based on his 16-year record in the Mississippi Legislature.
But his concern stems from the likelihood that some of his constituents will vote Tuesday in the Democratic primary rather than the Republican primary because of competitive local races.
