Candidates for 2nd top job in state campaign on Coast

The two Republican candidates for lieutenant governor scheduled stops in Jackson County during their last week of campaigning before Tuesday’s primary election.

State Rep. Jamie Franks, D-Mooreville, will face off against one of two Republican candidates, either state Sen. Charlie Ross or state auditor Phil Bryant in the Nov. 6 general election.
