Lt. gov. hopefuls slug it out in TV ads

With three weeks until the Aug. 7 primary, the commercials that began last week show just how intense the race to lead the state Senate has become between State Auditor Phil Bryant and state Sen. Charlie Ross.

Nothing is off limits, including Republican credentials, political supporters and endorsements.

In their commercials, both Bryant and Ross use ominous background music and accuse each other of disloyalty to Barbour, the state’s GOP leader.
