The battle against childhood obesity is getting a $100,000 boost from a grant awarded to the state, Gov. Haley Barbour’s office announced today.
Mississippi is one of ten states to receive a grant from the National Governors Association Center for Best Practices. It will be used to help advance or speed existing childhood obesity measures in schools and communities.
