Gov. Haley Barbour on Monday appointed James “Jimmy” McClure III to the District 17 Circuit Court in northwest Mississippi.
District 17 covers DeSoto, Tate, Panola, Tallahatchie and Yalobusha counties.
“Jimmy’s outstanding credentials as a well-qualified, conscientious judge make him the perfect choice for this position,” Barbour said in a news releases. “I’m pleased that Jimmy has accepted this important role, and I know he will continue to be an asset to Mississippi’s judicial system.”
