Lt. Gov. candidates agree on full funding for schools

By: Magnolia Tribune - June 14, 2007

The Mississippi Press, 6/14/7

The three candidates for the lieutenant governor’s race all agree that the Mississippi Adequate Education Program should be fully funded every year, not just election years.

State Auditor Phil Bryant, State Sen. Charlie Ross and State Rep. Jamie Franks discussed that program and other educational topics at a two-hour debate held at the Mississippi Department of Education’s 2007 Summer Conference in Biloxi. Bryant and Ross are Republican, and Franks is a Democrat.
