Both candidates are touting “red meat” Republican issues in an effort to sway GOP primary votes. Bryant was an early disciple of battling illegal immigration by highlighting the costs of illegal immigrants to Mississippi taxpayers. The immigration issue resounds statewide and is a Bryant trademark applause line.
The trick for the GOP is that the Bryant-Ross race not leave the winner too bloodied and damaged to effectively take on an able Franks.
