Thompson, a Democrat from Bolton, said he has asked for a briefing Monday from the Federal Emergency Management Agency “to explain the rationale and justification for pursuing the monies from those people.”
I’m still concerned FEMA has not looked at the no-bid contracts, that they have not looked at all the other large items that people know cost taxpayers far more money,” Thompson said. “While a few thousand dollars is being recovered from victims, it could be recovered from one contract if pursued properly.”
